MADISON, Wis. – Nordic and Louisiana-based Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System are partnering on a multi-year application managed services engagement, which kicked off on Jan. 8. During the engagement, Nordic’s Managed Services team will provide enterprise application support for 18 Epic applications.
The partnership between Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System and Nordic dates back to 2016. The expanding partnership adds important capacity as FMOLHS advances major Epic Community Connect projects and prepares to open a new hospital and a freestanding emergency department, among several strategic initiatives.
“Nordic has been a trusted partner over the past few years,” says Karen Parker, assistant vice president, FMOLHS information systems implementations. “Their expertise is dedicated to our daily Epic maintenance, allowing our internal teams to lead important projects for serving our patients and communities throughout Louisiana. Technology is very important for our health system ministry functioning well.”
In a KLAS report released in December, AMS & Help Desk 2018, Nordic is the highest rated firm for go-forward Epic support with an overall score of 93.5 and the most validated Epic clients in the report.
“Nordic exceeds our expectations,” said one client in the report. “They are going beyond just doing the work; they are identifying ways that we can improve. They really go above and beyond. When we ask them to help build or coordinate something, we get more from them than we expect.”
