With a growing need for end-to-end strategic support for health projects across the UK and Europe, Nordic is expanding its team of senior experts with external hires in Ireland
Nordic Consulting, an award-winning global healthcare and technology consultancy with over 3,300 employees, has appointed senior health tech executive, Claire Staple as Vice President of Strategy and Country Manager. The newly created role will strengthen Nordic’s existing footprint in Ireland, as Staple oversees the management of all existing client services and business operations.
As a well-established healthcare leader, Staple has almost a decade of experience in providing strategic support for the delivery of end-to-end clinically enabled digital transformation programmes. This includes overseeing the procurement process for one of Europe’s largest public sector contracts – Encompass - a multi-million-pound contract in Northern Ireland to roll out Epic’s electronic health record (EHR) system across all acute, community, and social care services.
Her appointment comes at a crucial time as Nordic broadens its array of transformational services for the healthcare industry, as the drive towards digital transformation progresses, and with it, the need for specialised clinical, technical, and operational expertise.
Staple will be working with current customers on their digital transformation journeys as well as utilising her commercial and legal knowledge to advise new partners as they come on board.
When asked about joining Nordic, Claire Staple said, "Nordic’s unmatched commitment to making a tangible difference in healthcare particularly appealed to me. The team truly understands how to help healthcare professionals overcome their specific challenges, and the approach is driven by a deep desire to improve patient outcomes. I’m delighted to have the opportunity to continue to build on the company’s proven offering in Ireland.”
In her new role, Claire will also contribute to Nordic's internal strategic growth plans and play a key role in corporate operations.
Commenting on the appointment, Kieran Hughes, President, Nordic Europe and Middle East, said, “This is a particularly exciting time for Nordic as we continue to expand our services to healthcare systems in Ireland. Claire's extensive experience and knowledge position us well to meet our customers' needs including procuring, implementing, and optimising EHR solutions.
“With Claire on board, Nordic is poised to make a lasting impact on the healthcare landscape, offering clients the expertise, insight, and commitment needed to meet the challenges of today's healthcare environment.”
