When making the decision to purchase the Enterprise suite of Epic applications in February 2012—undertaking the largest and most complex project in the history of the organization—the University of Arizona Health Network (now Banner University Medicine) turned to Nordic. The Academic Medical Center was in the midst of a merger while installing Epic and faced the added challenge of integrating two organizations with disparate technology platforms, workflows, and cultures.
Nordic put together a team of expert consultants to partner with Arizona staff, serving in key leadership positions, including Project Director, Project Manager and Lead Analyst. The team worked with UAHN over 18-months, from planning through big bang go-live on November 1, 2013. Nordic not only provided workflow and system expertise, but also mentored UAHN staff, helping them develop Epic skills quickly and positioning them for long-term success.
