While you’re in Madison, you can probably expect long days of educational sessions and evenings filled with networking events (like our Open House.) Since you might need a kick of caffeine while you’re in the Badger State, a few members of the Nordic team have volunteered to help you out by sharing their favorite hometown coffee shops:
EVP Coffee
555 South Midvale Blvd. (and four other locations)
Alejandro’s Favorites- Drink – 20-ounce Americano with four shots
- Pastry – blueberry cheese Danish or chocolate-filled croissant
It’s a small locally owned shop. They roast their coffee and have pastries delivered daily. The location has convenient parking and enough room to kick back and relax with your favorite brew.
Cargo Coffee
Carrie’s Favorites- Drink – classic latte
- Pastry – raspberry scone (go early to snag one!)
The staff is friendly, and they consistently make an amazing espresso drink!
Colectivo Coffee
2530 Monroe St. (and two locations downtown)
Joel’s Favorites
- Drink – nitro cold press coffee
- Pastry – made-from-scratch strawberry pop tart
They have great food and a huge selection of caffeinated beverages (plus beer and wine). Best of all, half the building opens to the fresh air in the warm months, so you can enjoy your coffee and pastry outside!
Moka
5227 University Ave. (and on the east side)
Beth’s Favorites- Drink – classic miel
- Pastry – homemade Moka bar – It’s packed full of protein to help you get through a busy day.
The miel is perfectly sweet, just like every one of their baristas!
Rosie’s Coffee Bar and Bakery
Elden’s Favorites (pictured with the owner)- Drink – iced mocha
- Pastry - breakfast sandwich on a biscuit with bacon and farm cake or chocolate chip cookie
Why you should check it out
Rosie’s Coffee Bar and Bakery is locally owned with great food and service!
