Health beyond hospitals
Healthcare has long been associated with places like hospitals, clinics, and exam rooms. But most of what shapes our health happens elsewhere: around kitchen tables, during morning routines, and in everyday decisions. This companion supplement explores how design can bring care into the spaces where life unfolds. Because truly human-centered healthcare begins by meeting people at home.Â
What you'll learn
- Why the home is becoming healthcare’s new frontier and what that means for patients, providers, and systemsÂ
- Real-life challenges in delivering care outside traditional spaces, and how design can rise to meet themÂ
- The difference between making care available and making it work in the messiness of everyday lifeÂ
- How to think like a designer when creating systems that respect people’s routines, relationships, and realities
