What healthcare IT leaders need now and how we are responding

As I marked my first year as chief growth officer at Nordic, I took time to reflect on the conversations that shaped the past 12 months. Whether I was attending an industry event like HIMSS, VIVE, CHIME, or ACHE Congress, or meeting with leaders across their operational and clinical environments, the themes were remarkably consistent. Healthcare teams are carrying enormous responsibility, often with fewer resources and tighter timelines than ever. Leaders spoke candidly about the pressure to deliver results that improve care, strengthen operations, and make a meaningful difference across the enterprise.

They also emphasized the need for partners who listen closely, respect their unique needs, move with urgency, and help remove the friction that slows progress. Those conversations grounded my first year with Nordic, and they continue to guide how we support our clients moving forward.

My goal is simple: help healthcare IT teams move faster, reduce friction, and deliver measurable results leaders can see and feel across the enterprise.

The principles that still matter most

My first year in this role reaffirmed three principles I have carried throughout my career, and it sharpened how we apply them at Nordic.

  1. Execution builds trust.
Strategy sets direction, but delivery earns credibility for overloaded teams that cannot afford rework. Leaders remember the teams that listen fully before recommending a path, bring steadiness when circumstances shift, and follow through on commitments without exception.
  2. Integration of technical and clinical expertise is essential.
Well-designed systems and modern tools matter, but success hinges on workflow awareness, training and education, disciplined change management, and clear communication. Clinicians abandon workflows that do not reflect reality. Our best results come when people, processes, technology, and governance move together, and adoption becomes visible in outcomes.
  3. Momentum matters as much as perfection.
Health systems rarely enjoy ideal conditions. The partners who make a difference meet organizations where they are, adapt quickly, and guide them toward measurable progress while protecting safety and quality. Timelines shift, and when they do, the ability to maintain clarity, alignment, and pace is what sustains results.

Listening closely, learning continuously, and staying curious sharpened these principles and reinforced how critical they are in today’s environment.

Why our brand evolved

Nordic’s recent brand refresh is part of a broader strategic evolution. My first year confirmed how closely this new identity aligns with what healthcare leaders consistently say they need: clarity, focus, and a trusted guide through complexity. The refreshed brand makes that commitment easier to see and easier for clients to engage with as they navigate their most pressing technology and operational challenges.

Our new identity reflects the role clients tell us they value most, a partner who brings light and direction when the path forward feels crowded or unclear. With a singular focus on healthcare, we see the big picture and the nuanced details that shape it. We help leaders find answers where others may not think to look, connect clinical and operational priorities, and tailor solutions to the unique realities of their organizations. That clarity helps teams reduce friction, make informed decisions faster, and move toward meaningful progress with confidence.

This evolution is not a shift in who we are. It is a clearer expression of the experience, wisdom, and partnership our teams bring to every engagement.

Our four brand pillars reflect how we show up:

  • We prioritize service and performance because outcomes matter.
  • We balance strategic thinking with practical action because plans must become results.
  • We blend technical and clinical expertise because technology must serve people.
  • We stay exploratory and grounded because curiosity drives innovation, and discipline ensures safety, scalability, and sustainability.

How we show up as a partner

Nordic’s singular focus on healthcare remains one of our greatest strengths. Our teams arrive already immersed in the clinical context, regulatory expectations, and operational realities that shape decisions every day. That familiarity reduces onboarding time, sharpens recommendations, and shortens the distance between strategy and measurable impact.

Our depth across enterprise technologies, from major EHRs such as Epic, Oracle Health, and MEDITECH to ERP platforms like Infor and Workday and IT service management with ServiceNow, gives clients a partner who understands the nuances and constraints of each ecosystem. We guide teams with clarity, reduce integration risks, and help organizations realize value sooner.

We also support the full lifecycle of health IT initiatives. Leaders can move from strategy and planning to design, build, testing, training, activation, optimization, and managed services with fewer handoffs and one accountable partner. That continuity matters when teams are stretched, priorities are shifting, and timelines are compressed.

Progress from my first year

In my first year with Nordic, our focus was simple: help healthcare leaders move faster with less friction.

New partnerships with immediate client impact

CLEAR

Enhancing identity, access, and information protection so clinicians and staff can sign in faster, stay secure, and spend more time on care.

Clearsense

Bringing a turnkey application portfolio approach that helps health systems surface redundancies, retire low-value apps, and reinvest savings in work that delivers measurable impact.

ServiceNow

Joining the Partner and Reseller Programs enables us to bring the ServiceNow platform to healthcare organizations in practical ways that simplify service experiences, strengthen automation, and support clear portfolio oversight. As a reseller and registered service provider, we support the full lifecycle from licensing and implementation to optimization and managed services.

Foundational partnerships that scale

Our longstanding partnerships, including Infor and Workday, continue to strengthen our ERP services and help organizations streamline operations, control costs, optimize resources, improve financial performance, accelerate informed decision making, break down silos, and bolster talent retention.

Independent validation

The Consulting Report named Nordic a top consulting firm of 2025, and we achieved ISO 9001 certification to support European clients, reflecting our consistency and accountability across engagements.

Outcomes in practice

At Maastricht UMC+, we implemented the first fully closed-loop medication management workflow inside Epic, connecting Epic and SAP to improve safety, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen operating room efficiency.

At Bon Secours Mercy Health, we partnered with their IT team to move more than 57,000 devices to Epic Hyperdrive, improving response times by about 15% and enhancing the clinician experience across 48 hospitals and 60,000 employees.

Individually, these moments matter. Together, they show that when the work is clear, coordinated, and well-paced, organizations move forward faster and with greater confidence.

Supporting healthcare’s most pressing needs

Conversations with leaders this year revealed clear priorities. They need flexible staffing that stabilizes teams without slowing progress. They require implementations that are clinically grounded, operationally feasible, and fully embraced. They seek managed services that lessen the burden, create stability, and allow teams to focus on future opportunities. They also want a partner who helps them prepare for emerging demands, not just responding to urgent ones. With that in mind, we are expanding our work in data, analytics, and AI to help health systems turn complex, inconsistent data into actionable intelligence, so teams can act faster, reduce waste, and improve outcomes. We are strengthening workforce and staffing support to help leaders address capacity challenges without sacrificing quality. We are improving the patient experience by connecting digital tools, clinical workflows, and operations so improvements are measurable and sustainable. And we are advancing solutions that support financial and operational performance, including cybersecurity, capacity management, revenue integrity, and process efficiency.

Most health IT programs falter when clarity slips, alignment thins, or momentum slows across handoffs. Our approach is to keep all three strong at the same time through honest conversations, clear roles, transparent progress, and the discipline to adapt while staying on course.

The road ahead

Despite the headwinds, I remain optimistic. I believe in this industry, I believe in our clients, and I believe in our teams that support them. My first year at Nordic showed what is possible when we listen carefully, collaborate intentionally, act with urgency, and remain grounded in what is right. I saw our maxims in action as we assumed best intentions, spoke openly and directly, stayed calm in difficult moments, acted like owners, and shared what we learned so others could move faster.

The future of Nordic is bright because the mission of healthcare is bright. We will continue to bring the expertise, focus, and energy required to help leaders navigate complexity and make meaningful progress. Whether you are preparing for a major implementation, working through a difficult decision, or building a long-term roadmap, we are here to help.

If you would like to compare what you are seeing inside your organization with what we are seeing across the industry, I am glad to walk through the patterns, pitfalls, and practical moves that are working. Even if we don’t partner immediately, I am confident the conversation will clarify your next steps and shorten your path to results.

Thank you to every leader who welcomed us into their work this year. I look forward to what we will accomplish together in the months ahead.

Stay up to date on how healthcare’s changing and how we’re helping organizations change with it.
